Heather and Ryan’s engagement session was absolutely stunning! After running into a few bumps in the road (literally), we were greeted with a beautiful session! Our original plan of heading to Raven’s Roost was pushed to a halt when the Blue Ridge Parkway unexpectedly closed down because of ice and down tree limbs. After learning that the parkway was closed, we headed to Wintergreen to try our luck there and it was better than we could have imagined. I hadn’t been to Wintergreen Resort since I was very young when my family went there to ski; Heather and Ryan hadn’t been there either, so weren’t exactly sure what to expect. I’m so thankful that Heather and Ryan were willing to go with the flow and adventure around Wintergreen with me when our original plans didn’t work out because of conditions out of our control.

When we arrived at Wintergreen and it’s various overlooks, we were blown away by its beauty! There were stunning views of the blue ridge mountains, the resort, and snow covered fields. We were not expected to have snow there that day, but we were so elated that it was there!
