Emily & Austin are finally married!! I could not be more thrilled for this incredibly sweet couple! While their wedding day was absolutely perfect; COVID definitely gave us the run around while planning out their day. North Carolina state restrictions were constantly changing and so were Emily and Austin’s wedding plans as they tried to make the best decision about how to proceed with their wedding day. Ultimately, they decided to continue with their ceremony as planned at Boxwood Estate and scale back their reception to only the wedding party and immediate family so that they were following all of NC’s event guidelines throughout their entire wedding day. Even though their wedding day was affected by COVID, they did not let that stifle one bit of their joy on their wedding day! They were so excited to finally be married and to celebrate with their family and friends; even if the reception was much smaller than originally planned. And let me tell you, their friends and family still had an incredible time and danced the night away at their reception! You would never have known there were only 25 people at their reception by how many of them stayed on the dance floor dancing and singing. They all had such an incredible time together and it was an amazing celebration for Emily & Austin!

I loved the mix of patterns and solids among Emily’s bridesmaid dresses!

Emily & Austin’s invitations were absolutely stunning! If Its Paper created the perfect design to match Emily & Austin’s wedding florals seemlessly!

I always love it when my couples include family heirlooms into their detail shots! This is the marriage certificate of Austin’s grandparents and the garter belongs to Emily’s grandmother. Such sweet sentiments!

Emily & Austin had the sweetest In-Memory table displayed at their ceremony. It was filled with photos of all of their loved ones that had passed and weren’t able to physically be at the wedding. Austin’s grandmother passed away shortly before the wedding and I love that they included her hanger for the wedding on the table.

Everyone should hire a live painter for their wedding!! This has quickly become one of my favorite wedding additions that I’ve seen recently. If this had been a thing when I got married, I would 100% have had a live painter at my wedding! Heather Smith Art is absolutely incredible at what she does and she is so sweet to work with! I’m so glad that this is the second wedding we’ve gotten to work together!

I totally started crying as soon as I saw Emily’s dad start crying as he walked her down the aisle. I may or may not have also cried editing these images. 😉

Because Emily & Austin couldn’t allow everyone to attend their reception, they held a receiving line to speak to all of their guests before they left the ceremony. They also gave each guest a box of hor d’oeuvres and a wedding favor before leaving.

The entire day was sheer perfection and I’m so happy and thankful that I was there to capture it all for you guys. I wish you both nothing but the best and I cannot wait to see where life and marriage take you!
